Ayacucho weavers.

These 100% wool Andean tapestries are made by Ciprian Fernandez Quispe (front right of photo, right) who has been weaving for years and learned from his father, and Emelio (photo at bottom of page). The designs they use reflect the landscape, animals, plants that they live in, the Andean universe, and beliefs forms of daily life. They use techniques that combine the ancient and contemporary.
